About the Men's Shed

The Mount Gambier Men's Shed

The men's Shed evolved following 2 public forums in August 2009.

A steering committee was established and the "shed" was ultimately created.

Initially, members met at the Mount Gambier Library prior to relocating to the Baptist Church hall.

A more permanent home was found on Lake terrace East until September 2014 when the City Council granted us a lease on a large vacant shed at 1A McDonnell Drive (corner of Commercial Street West), which is still our home.

Talk or tinker - enjoy a chat and a cuppa, while others get involved with their hands.

We have an array of tools and machinery for wood and metal work for those who wish to participate in community projects, making toys, working on their project or simply watch others and have a chat.
